Keeping Mindful for Halloween?

Keeping Mindful for Halloween?
By Dr. Kao Pediatric Dentistry

With Halloween upon us, please keep in mind that many little people will be visiting your home. Be accepting. The child who is grabbing more than one piece of candy may have poor fine motor skills, The child who takes forever to pick out one piece of candy may have motor planning issues. The child who does not say trick or treat or thank you may be non-verbal. The child who looks disappointed when they see your bowl might have allergies. The child who isn’t wearing a costume at all might have a sensory issue or autism. Be nice. Be patient. It is everyone’s Halloween.

With that in mind, when your children get home, be sure to brush and floss their teeth, along with fluoride rinse. They might have had a little candy on the way home. Dr. Kao and the team at Pediatric Dentistry want you and your child to see Halloween from all perspectives, while reminding you of the importance of proper dental hygiene.
